KMG EP announces changes in its Management Board
Astana, 11 July 2016. KazMunaiGas Exploration & Production (“KMG EP”) announces that as per resolution of the Board of Directors, the Management Board now comprises Bekzat Abaiyldanov, the Chief Operations Officer (Deputy CEO for Operations), and Malik Salimgereyev, the Managing Director for Health, Safety, Environment & Drilling, for the term of the Management Board until 22 September 2018.
The composition of the Management Board as at 7 July 2016:
- Kurmangazy Iskaziyev, the Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Management Board;
- Bekzat Abaiyldanov, the Chief Operations Officer;
- Dauletzhan Khasanov, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of KMG EP – General Director of Ozenmunaigas;
- Kairbek Yeleussinov, the Deputy CEO for Ozenmunaigas Project;
- Malik Salimgereyev, the Managing Director for Health, Safety, Environment & Drilling;
- Dastan Abdulgafarov, the Chief Financial Officer; and
- Shane Drader, the Finance Director – Finance Controller.
Bekzat Abaiyldanov is a graduate of Satbayev Kazakh National Technical University, International University of Egypt (Basic Management and Marketing); and is soon to be an MBA graduate in Management of Petroleum Business from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. He was general director at Kaspiy Neft stock corporation; joint venture Matin limited liability partnership; Arnaoil limited liability partnership, and some other companies; he was Director of Finance Department at Ozenmunaigas production branch, and held various job titles at Uzenmunaigaz open stock corporation. He is an author of several research papers.
Malik Saleimgereyev is a graduate of Gubkin Moscow Institute of Petrochemical and Gas Industry, and is a postgraduate student of Institute of Geology of the Kazakh Academy of Science; is a candidate of geological and mineralogical sciences. He was advisor to chair of the Management Board at National Company KazMunaiGas; Chief Asset Management Officer, Director of Petroleum Business Development Directorate at Samruk Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund; Director of Petroleum Business Development Department at Kazakh Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources; Deputy Director for Operations at Embamunaigas, and held various executive positions at Kazakhoil Emba, Kazakhoil, KazNIPIneft, Karazhanbasmunai, etc. He is an author of several research papers.

KMG EP is among the top three Kazakh oil producers. The overall production in 2015 was 12.4 million tonnes (251 kbopd) of crude oil, including the Company’s share in Kazgermunai, CCEL and PKI. The Company’s volume of proved and probable reserves excluding shares in the associates, at the end of 2015 was 193 million tonnes (1,409 mmbbl).
